The only true happiness comes from squandering ourselves for a purpose. – William Cowper

Being the inspired raconteuse that I am I enjoy telling a good story and I never mind if the joke is on me. As a matter of fact I prefer it. I will do or say anything I must to help another human being realize authentic progress and every day epiphanies in their lives. It is my happiness to do so. If I ” squander myself ” to this purpose I will consider my life well lived.

Do I have other talents? Of course. Don’t we all? So what? This is my True Calling.

I believe in Sublime Order and I take full vibrational responsibility for what I put out there at all times. Does that mean if someone is offended by some story I tell or the way I tell it will I apologize? Absolutely not. I only take responsibility for my intent. Not your reaction. My intent is never to hurt or harm anyone.

Making excuses or apologizing for who you are and what you believe in is a waste of good time.

I learned this way of being from one of the greatest writer’s and storyteller’s ever – Gore Vidal. I was young and impressionable when I first heard him speak and later read his books. I was quite taken with his irreverent ways and aspired to be like him. The wildly witty and excessively brilliant Gore Vidal has left us.  And with this crossing this week The Collective Mind has easily lost 20 IQ points.  Gore is most likely regaling all of Heaven with his searing observations and quick wit as we speak. I am absolutely green with envy. Why should the Angels have all the fun? We need him here!

Gore Vidal’s wicked wit and point of view got him into a lot of trouble over the years. Nonplussed by the injured he left behind Gore lived his life his way. If someone took offense? Well, sorry Bub.

Mr Vidal lived his life on purpose and he influenced  so many of us to do the same in kind.

He squandered genius for a living and was a Light-bearer in his own unorthodox,  inimitable way. This was his True Calling. We receive the benefit of his largesse. The benefit of another human simply being themselves. Really. Intensely. Passionately. Fabulously. Happily.

Gore opened our eyes to historic and modern day truths in a away no other writer has before or may ever again.  His way of being in the world has inspired me all of my life and will continue to do so. A few years ago I re-read all of his books. I will have to read them again at least one more time. It is the least I can do for someone who gave so much and told such great stories.

Gore Vidal was simply fascinating.

An inspired raconteur until the very end.

One of my heroes.
