The holiday decorations are safe and snug in their beds until next Christmas. The thoughtful gifts have been used at least once. The last of the goodies are gone. The diets have begun. Half of our resolutions have been broken already. (Oh, well.) We said thank you and goodbye to last year in sweet celebration together. We rang in the New Year with sparkling wine and vigor. It’s been fun!
And ya know, it doesn’t have to end? We don’t have to go back to our daily round feeling “less blessed” if we don’t allow it.
Sure we have our work to do.
Households to support. Children to get to school. Promises and schedules to keep. We can do all that and more. But this year let us be more mindful through it all. Wake-up your joy! Why? Because it is only in the state of Awakened Mindfulness that we may truly Enjoy our lives. Life graces us with so much.
Things we take for granted most of the time.
Many of us keep gratitude journals.
Say grace at meals.
Thank Heaven when we see that on-coming car just in time.
We try to be kind. Offer our love and support when we can. These are good things but they are not really celebrations. This year, I set the intention for myself to do whatever I need to do to CELEBRATE life. Celebrate each day with a spirit of joy. Each win. Each loss. (Yes, you read that correctly.)
Look, each moment we are alive and not feeling much pain is Grace in action.
Choose to rejoice!
In the spirit of Michelangelo; I intend to see the angels in the stone and set them free.
All of them!
My intention to be more mindful, awake, and joyful is the beginning of a beautiful story called “2010: A Celebration.” Looking back from this perspective next year (G willing) I hope it will be one of the best stories I have ever told.
You don’t need to be a psychic to have the Power of Vision. Visualize and Actualize your “Good” this year.
It is everywhere!
Set your life’s boundaries once and for all. Make certain your borders are properly patrolled for lovelessness daily. Keep the those “undocumented fears” at the gate where they belong.
Bless the day.
Turn up the music.
Beware of low-flying angels. And let’s get this party started!
Have a sweet one!
