Dear Santa, Just tell me what I have to do get off of your naughty list? If it requires being nice all of the time, forget it! I’ll buy my own presents. Thank you and Merry Christmas! – Alexandra Brooks (AlexWord)
It has been awhile I know. I haven’t written a letter to you in ages. I hope you remember me. You see, I stopped writing but I never really stop believing. I just stopped asking. I sort of bumped the want list up and it seemed wrong of me to expect certain things from you.
The things is, I am now desperate and feeling it couldn’t hurt to ask. If the answer is no I will understand. It’s not like I am getting a big fat yes from other sources.
Santa, it has been a rough few years for a lot of us. There seems to be no end in sight to the lack and want we are experiencing in this part of the world. So many of us are barely hanging on. Some very tricky banking and Mother Nature’s bad temper left many of us homeless. Far too many of us are out of work. Stores and restaurants are closing left and right because the average person doesn’t have money to spend on anything extra. Gas prices, rent, and the overall cost of living is too high. Our country has been at war for over 10 years. We can no longer afford our hate and fear. It has bankrupted us in every possible way.
We have no peace.
Our heart’s are broken.
Every other week it seems people are dying needlessly at the hands of others who are troubled and sick but somehow have access to guns. Access to guns but no access to help for their troubled minds.
Here is what I would like for Christmas this year and if you are able to make it happen just keep this list and re-gift me with it next year and forever, k? I want to make it easy on ya Santa.
Gift 1) Food, shelter, clothing, medical care, and an education for everyone. EVERYONE.
Gift 2) Financial solvency for all who can accept the responsibility such solvency.
Gift 3) An end to war, unrest, and every type of abuse the world over.
Gift 4) Love, Peace, Hope and Inspiration for every living soul on Earth.
So, what do think Santa? I know it is a tall order. Not exactly the kind of stuff I used to asked for is it?
But as I said I never stopped believing.
I just stopped asking.
