Bless It Good!
I’m an old school meta-physician. I prefer all aspects of my life to be well-defined and clear. However, I am perfectly willing to allow for mystery, if clarity is not forthcoming.
I love this quote by Emmet Fox; “If you bless a situation, it has no power to hurt you, and even if it is troublesome for a time, it will gradually fade out, if you sincerely bless it.”
I cannot begin to count how many times I have had to bless a person, place, thing, or situation that I would much rather curse on any given day. Believe me, the cussin’ flies first, and at length, before the blessings ever begin. I’m a meta-physician, not a saint, and I am not one to suffer fools gladly. Even my own foolishness annoys the sugar outta me.
So, what do you do when you are up against it? Someone is pushing buttons you didn’t even know you had? Or you want what you want yesterday but manifestation is nowhere in sight? As with all things vexing and soul shaking we triumph when we bless it. I know it is a lot to ask. This is the stuff of Angels, Mother Theresa, or Oprah. This blessing business doesn’t come easily or naturally, at least not for me.
I generally try to barter my way around it, ya know? For instance, let me just call this person an insufferable so and so before I have to bless them, please! I need to be irrational and wildly emotional for at least a minute before I go all Maya Angelou here.
These days I am only a bit better about this sort of thing. Largely because I have done it the hard way long enough to know the pain won’t end ’til the blessing begins.
That cussin’ sure feels good in the moment though doesn’t it?
Sending Love, Light and Oceans of Bliss.
And so it is!
