It’s Not A Gift
Blessed is the season which engages the whole world in a conspiracy of love. ~Hamilton W Mable
I don’t celebrate holiday’s. I celebrate everyday to the best of my ability. Granted, some days I have more reason to deck the halls and fa-la-la-la-la than others. I am not always in the mood to party but I try. This is what I admire about all living things. We are collectively in the business of trying. Trying is not doing. We know this. Still, trying is reason enough to congratulate our heartfelt efforts.
Birds try. Bees try. Dolphins try. Dogs definitely try. Cats try. ( They just refuse to own up to it. ) Humans try. Some of us try hard. Hard, hard. We often wonder if this business of trying is worth the ROI. The return on investment is a matter of perspective. Always has been. Always will be. If it is worth it to you? It is worth it.
It is essential to be clear about what you are trying for. Are you trying to evolve? Trying to be loved and appreciated? Trying to educate, mutilate, or emasculate? Trying to share your best or worst re-gifted gifts? It rarely pays to be cryptic but a little mystery never hurts. You don’t have to answer to anyone as long as you are answerable to yourself. Just figure it out.
In this season of giving, giving in the spirit of generosity is a beautiful thing.
In the never ending often exhausting spirit of trying I want to put this out there.
If you are handing around your personal pain like it is some kind of a gift.
And don’t try so hard.
Sending Love, Light & Oceans of Bliss …
